Dear Credit Union Member,
Your Credit Union will be holding the
2010 Annual Membership Meeting
Date: Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010
Time: 5:00 PM
Place: Cafeteria, Northrop Grumman/Sperry Marine Corporation
Note: Light refreshments will be served
A selection of exciting door prizes will be awarded
This meeting is being held for the sole purpose of electing members to serve on the Board of Directors for the Credit Union. There are three (3) positions to be filled, with terms of three years.
The Nominating Committee, which consists of three Members of the Credit Union appointed by the Board of Directors, has nominated the following members to serve on the Board of Directors:
Bill Baskerville.............................................Incumbent
Jay Wildermann………………..................Incumbent
Joe A. Nasevich………………Credit Union Member
Nominations for vacancies may also be made by petition signed by a minimum of forty (40) members of the Credit Union. Each nominee by petition must submit a statement of qualifications and biographical data with their petition. Nominations must be accompanied by a signed certificate from the nominee stating that they are agreeable to nomination and will serve if elected.
The election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when there only one nominee for each position to be filled. Nominations by petition must be mailed to: Nomination Committee ~ SMFCU, c/o P.O. Box 7766, Charlottesville, VA 22906, and received by 5 pm, Thursday, February 11th, 2010.
To come to the meeting enter the Employee Parking Lot at 2300 Hydraulic Road and drive toward the front side of the building. After 4 pm you may park in any parking space except handicapped, unless your vehicle displays appropriate handicapped card or tag. Enter through the main side door entrance under the metal awning and obtain a visitor badge from the Security Officer.
Citizens of the United States will need to show a government issued picture ID (Virginia picture drivers license will do). Non citizens of the United States will need to show a passport, resident alien card, permanent resident card or equivalent. A member of the Credit Union staff or Board of Directors will be there to escort you to the cafeteria.
